Profile

Jasmine joined Yahoo! research in August 2005 from IBM Almaden Research Center. At IBM, Jasmine worked as a research engineer for the Computer Science Principles and Methodologies group as well as the WebFountain project. Her primary interests are in measuring and modeling communities and content on the web, and algorithm design. She also has an inane passion for swing dancing!

  • TagLines - We consider the problem of visualizing the evolution of tags within the Flickr (flickr.com) online image sharing community. Any user of the Flickr service may append a tag to any photo in the system.
  • Yahoo! Research Leads Technical Program at WSDM 2008 Debut - Yahoo! Research led the technical program at WSDM, authoring one-fifth of the accepted papers and holding several positions on the program committees.
