Researcher Peter Mika Makes “Ten to Watch” List

IEEE Intelligent Systems (IEEE IS), a bimonthly publication of the IEEE Computer Society, has nominated Yahoo! Researcher Peter Mika as one of the “Ten to Watch” researchers for the future of AI. Based out of Yahoo! Research in Barcelona, Peter’s work is focused on Semantic Web technologies. IEEE IS receives a large number of nominations for this honor from AAAI Fellows, chairs of computer science departments, and through an open call for nominees in the magazine. A committee of five well-known AI researchers selected the recipients from the nominations.

"When I saw the names of the other recipients of this award, my first reaction was that it is a real honor to be selected as part of such an outstanding group of people," said Peter. "This award will provide tremendous motivation to continue my work in the area of the Semantic Web."
